Rev. Charles Hines
Charles is the lead pastor of The Story. He serves full-time as the lead pastor at Prospect Southern Methodist Church. He is happily married to Hannah Hines and is the father of baby Sophia Hines!
Daniel Horton
Daniel has served at The Story since 2020 when he was in high school. He is very talented, and he is also an award-winning musician and song-writer.
Rev. Edgar Horton
Edgar is one of worship leaders and pastors at The Story. He has served in ministry for decades and is currently the lead pastor at Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church in Kershaw, SC.
Rev. Doug Hines
Doug is a retired nurse who is now serving full-time at New Hope Southern Methodist Church as the lead pastor. He is also a pastor at The Story and one of the worship leader on the drum. Doug is happily married to Shelby Hines and the father of Ben and Charles.
John Johnson
John is one of the longest serving members of The Story. He and his wife, Susan oversee so much of our building’s upkeep. John will be the one who greets you at the door every Saturday and he will also share a message during the offering.
Shelby Hines
Shelby is the founder of The Story ministry. She is also the worship leader that has casted the vision for The Story’s mix of contemporary and traditional music. She is married to Doug and the mother of Ben and Charles.
Hannah Hines
Hannah is the pastor’s wife (or first lady) of The Story and Prospect Southern Methodist Church. She is the mother of baby Sophia Hines, and she consistently fills in every need The Story has. You will see Hannah every Saturday in the back greeting you with a smile and holding sweet Sophia!
Milton Wetherbee
Milton is our sound person in the back, and he is the father of Liora Wetherbee. He has been a pivotal part of The Story with his ideas and assistance whenever the ministry needs it.
